Why I love Craigslist

Because only through craigslist can  you get a whole dining room set--table, 6 chairs, hutch and buffet for $75:

And then turn it into this:

I just got a dresser that I am dying to get my hands on. . . i just need the temperature to get above 40 degrees again :).

Just wanted to say I just found your site tonight through another blog, through another blog! LOL. I've added your button to my 'Get Your Craft On' blog roll. Your work is A.MA.ZING!

Love it!!! Do you know what the paint color on your walls is? I'm desperate to find a nice neutral color for my walls and I love yours!!!

Thanks everyone! Kenna, the color on the walls is Behr, and it is called Oat Straw. It is through most of our main level, and i think we will paint the upstairs hall that color too.

I LOVE this! My mom has some old furniture I'm trying to talk her into letting me take. Lol. What kind of paint did you use and how did you do those chair covers? I want to put plastic on mine!

Nicole, It is just black paint on the top and chairs (i used spray paint for the chairs), and then the bottom of the table is Krylon's Almond spray paint in a semi gloss. I unscrewed the seat bottoms and used pliers to pry the staples holding the old fabric in place, off. I then used the fabric as a pattern and cut the new fabric, and clear plastic vinyl out. I stapled them both back on together. I love having the plastic, it makes family dinners at the dinningroom table much less stress full!
